Export and sharing

Path: Builder → menu File → Export & Share (on a computer there is also an Export & Share button on the right of the top bar).

A single Export & Share dialog opens with two main parts: Format (what should be created) and Action (what should happen with it). Below them are options that change with the selected format.

Format

Card in the dialogWhat you getGood for
Interactive HTMLOne .html file with animations, clicking, music, voice and captions. Works in any browser, even offline.Client presentations, your own website, Link only, feed
Video MP4The whole presentation as a video (animations, music, voice, captions). The dialog shows an estimated length.Social media, YouTube, e-mail campaigns
Screen video (live web)A recording of the browser tab — it also captures an embedded website (HTML Viewer) in motion. The card only appears for a presentation with an embedded website; works in Chrome/Edge on a computer.Presentations with HTML Viewer
PNG ZIP (backup)Every slide as a PNG image in a ZIP archive.Backup, previews
PowerPoint (images)Every slide as an image in a .pptx — 100% faithful but not editable. When the recipient wants PowerPoint and shouldn't change anything
PowerPoint Plus (editable)Texts, shapes and images as native PowerPoint elements — they can be edited further. Video is inserted as playable media. When the client will keep editing the presentation
PDF1 slide = 1 page in the exact size of the format (16:9 landscape, 9:16 portrait). Animated objects sit in their final positions.Print, e-mail attachment, archiving

PMG Club animations do not carry over to PowerPoint or PDF — slides are static there. Q-Live widgets and product cards are inserted into PowerPoint as images.

Action

The Action part is shown for HTML, MP4, Screen video and PDF (PNG and PowerPoint are always just downloaded):

ActionWhat happens
DownloadThe file is saved to your computer.
To feedThe presentation is published as a post in the PMG Club feed (HTML and MP4). You can add a Post text.
BothDownload and publish at once.
Link onlyHTML only: a private address pmgclub.com/s/… is created — see below.

The button at the bottom is named after your choice: Generate & download, Generate & post to feed, Generate, download & post to feed or Generate & create link.

Project settings

Menu File → Project settings (on a computer also the Settings button in the bar) opens options for the whole presentation:

  • Music — volume of the project music (slides with their own volume ignore this)
  • Voice / Narration — volume of the spoken word
  • Caption style — style of captions from the slide script for MP4 and HTML export
  • Kiosk mode — see X elements → Kiosk

Which style captions get (highest priority first):

  1. A video object with its own caption style (Captions tab on the video)
  2. Project settings — tick “Custom style” → font, size, colours, position…
  3. Default — white text on a dark background, bottom centre

Interactive HTML

A standalone HTML file with animations, music, videos and Q-Live widgets — it works in any browser, locally and online, and is ready for phones (see below).

Options for the HTML format:

  • Captions → Show captions by default — captions from the slide script are visible right after opening; the viewer turns them on/off with the CC button. Next to it you pick the caption language (only if translations exist).
  • Embed fonts into the HTML (offline-ready) — fonts are embedded directly in the file (it grows by about 0.5–1 MB). Without this option the HTML loads fonts from the internet and uses system fonts offline.
  • Background music / Voice over (narration) — what the sound should contain. Turning the voice off only removes the sound, slide timing stays the same.
  • Embed with automatic timing — the HTML advances by itself according to each slide's length (animations + reading time + manual settings) and also plays click steps. The Fallback for empty slides (s) field sets the length of slides without their own timing. Without this option the viewer clicks through.
  • Embedded videos → Videos are only an illustrative backdrop — the video does not drive the slide length, it loops and is muted.

Whatever the presentation contains (voice, music, timing) is switched on in advance — you only untick what you don't want.

The presentation on your own website

Builder does not offer an embed code (<iframe>). To put a presentation on your own website:

  1. Format Interactive HTML, action Download. Tick Embed fonts into the HTML so the presentation looks the same without access to Google Fonts, and if needed Embed with automatic timing (otherwise visitors flip through it themselves).
  2. Upload the downloaded file to your website (e.g. as presentation.html) and link to it — the file is a standalone player with arrows, a slide counter and a full-screen button.

If you don't want to upload anything, use Link only and put the pmgclub.com/s/… address on your website.

Playing on a phone

The HTML player (downloaded file and the /s/… link) is ready for phones:

  • Rotation: the presentation fits the visible area, portrait or landscape. For a 16:9 presentation on a phone held upright, a hint “Rotate your phone to landscape” appears.
  • Next slide: swipe left (back: swipe right). In a presentation without automatic timing you can also just tap the slide. The side arrows are larger on touch screens.
  • Full screen: the ⛶ button (key F). On Android, full screen locks rotation to the presentation's format. iPhone cannot make a web page full screen — the ⤢ button hides the controls instead; tap to bring them back.
  • Safari bars on iPhone can be hidden by swiping up over the presentation, or via aA → Hide Toolbar.
  • In a presentation with automatic timing, tapping the slide pauses/resumes playback.

Video MP4

  • Renders the whole presentation as a video — animations, music, voice, embedded videos with their captions, X elements in motion
  • 30 frames per second, size according to the presentation format (16:9 = 1280×720)
  • Conversion to MP4 runs directly in the browser; we recommend Chrome or Edge (elsewhere conversion is much slower)

Options for the MP4 format:

  • Captions → Burn captions into video — captions from the slide script are burned into the video pixels (viewers can't turn them off). Captions of an embedded video are always burned in, regardless of this option. Style follows the hierarchy above. Next to it you choose the caption language (only if translations exist; for a language without recorded voice the dialog warns there will be silence).
  • Embedded videos → Videos are only an illustrative backdrop — same as for HTML.
  • Closing fade — fade to black at the end of the video (1–5 s).

Progress: recording runs in real time (the length of the presentation) while the MP4 converter downloads in parallel; then Loading recording → Converting to MP4 → Finishing. You see a live preview during recording.

Keep the browser tab in the foreground while the export runs — in the background the browser pauses recording and animations stutter in the video.

Q-Live widgets are burned into the video as a snapshot of the results at that moment; a slide with a results widget is split into one slide per question, QR widgets are not shown in video.

To feed

The To feed action (or Both) creates a post in the PMG Club feed with the presentation embedded (HTML starts with a button right in the post, MP4 plays as a video). You can add a Post text; for HTML the options above apply too — with automatic timing the slides in the post advance by themselves.

After publishing, the Done step shows an Open post button and a “Public link — works without registration” box with the pmgclub.com/post/… address and a Copy button. You can send this link to anyone — the presentation plays right in the browser, no sign-in needed. Without signing in, people just can't react or comment. More in Feed and profile.

Deleting: if you delete the post from the feed, the presentation stays in Builder. Deleting the presentation does not delete the post — playback just stops working.

Smart Presentation has its own Publish to feed button with an Auto-advance slides option (2–30 s per slide) — that applies to Smart Presentation only.

Link only — private sharing

If the presentation should not be in the feed at all, choose the Link only action for Interactive HTML. The HTML is stored and an address pmgclub.com/s/… with an unguessable code is created. It never appears anywhere in the app — not in the feed, not on your profile, not in search. Only people you send the address to can see it, without signing in, full page (⛶ button or key F).

  • In the Done step you get the address with Copy and Open buttons.
  • The link is a snapshot from the moment of export — later edits to the presentation do not flow into it automatically. If you want people with the link to see the new version, click ↻ Update next to the link: the address stays the same, the content is replaced (people with the link see the new version after reloading). The Create a new link instead button creates another address instead.
  • Below the Link only option you see Earlier links for this presentation with view counts and version dates. Each has a Turn link on / Turn link off switch — a link that is off stops working immediately (it shows “Link is invalid”) and you can turn it back on any time. The bin icon deletes the link permanently including the stored HTML (confirm with a second click).
  • The same menu is also in the presentation list: the link icon on a row (purple = the presentation has an active link) opens Private links with switches, copy, open and update.

Careful: whoever forwards the link gives access to other people. If the link gets somewhere it shouldn't, turn it off and create a new one.

Sharing with a group

Menu File → Share (owner only) shares the presentation with members of a user group for viewing or editing — that is different from a public link. See Group content sharing.

Known limitations

  • MP4 export may fail for very long presentations (over 5 minutes) or with many videos — split the presentation into smaller parts.
  • PowerPoint without animations — PMG Club animations do not carry over to .pptx.
  • The /s/… link and the feed post don't update themselves — they are snapshots from the moment of export (for a link use ↻ Update, for the feed publish again).

Tips

  • Before an MP4 export, play the presentation via Present and check that animations and music fit.
  • For stories and reels, create the presentation in 9:16 straight away, or add a 9:16 variant (see Formats).
  • Voice in MP4 — generate the AI voice beforehand (see Music and audio).
  • Link only is the lightest way to distribute — no big files in e-mail and the link can be turned off any time.
