Import from AI (Story JSON)

A Business Premium feature (or for a partner whose admin has enabled Builder import): the story of your presentation is written by your own AI (ChatGPT, Claude…) and Builder turns it into finished slides — including voice-over texts. You then just polish it in the editor.

How it works

  1. On the presentations list, click Import from AI
  2. Step 1 — download (or copy) the Guide for AI
  3. Paste the whole guide into your AI and add what the presentation should be about — e.g. "A presentation for café owners about our loyalty program, 6 slides"
  4. The AI returns a JSON file
  5. Step 2 — paste the JSON into the field (or upload the file) and click Import
  6. Open in editor — from here on it behaves like any other presentation

What is Story JSON

A simple file where the AI describes content only: slide types (cover / content / stats / closing), headlines, bullet points and voice-over text. No coordinates, no colors — the look is handled by a Builder design, so the result always looks professional.

Design

The look is set by the design field in the file. Standard designs (atelier, folio, bolt, maison, press) are available to everyone; restricted designs (e.g. Mo.one) are visible only to members of the corresponding group. The guide automatically offers only designs you are entitled to. If the file requests a design you don't have access to, the import still succeeds using the default design and shows a notice.

Slide layout (layout)

Besides the four basic layouts, every design offers richer ones — an agenda, a timeline, a "before and after" comparison or a quote. The AI asks for a specific one via the slide's layout field; the guide for AI lists them all together with the number of text slots.

Row layouts (agenda, timeline, comparison) take one point = one row. When a row has several parts, separate them with a dash:

{ "type": "content", "layout": "pmgclub-timeline", "title": "Timeline",
  "points": ["Q3 2026 — Pilot — Rollout on a limited sample",
             "Q4 2026 — Review — Measured against the baseline"] }

Rows left without content are removed from the presentation together with their numbering and divider line, so no empty slots remain in the deck. If you send more points than the layout has rows, the import says so in a warning.

Your own design from your template

Don't want the built-in designs? Build a sample deck in your own visual style (4 slides are enough: 1. cover · 2. content · 3. numbers · last one closing), use Save as template in the toolbar, and give it a slug in Project settings → AI design (e.g. my-brand). From then on, "design": "my-brand" in the Story JSON makes every AI-created presentation use your visual identity. When you improve the template later, new imports pick it up automatically. The guide for AI lists your designs in its own section.

When the import reports errors

The AI's file may not be right on the first try. The import shows a readable list of errors — click Copy errors for AI, paste them back into your AI and let it fix the file. Then import again.

Voice over

The narration field of each slide is the spoken-word text. After the import you'll find it in the slide script — voice generation (ElevenLabs) and subtitles work exactly like in manually created presentations. Music is not part of the file; you add it in Builder.

Tips

  • Write a specific brief for your AI: audience, number of slides, tone
  • Less is more — 3–4 bullet points per slide look best
  • The numbers slide (stats) works best with three values
  • The AI cannot supply images — add them in the editor after the import
