What is Presentation Builder

Presentation Builder (PB for short) is a visual drag-and-drop presentation editor at /tools/builder. You create slides manually — inserting text, images, videos, shapes, animating objects, and controlling the timing of every step.

Builder stores presentations in the presentation_projects table. It is a different tool from Smart Presentation — see the comparison below.

If you need precise design + animations + audio, Builder is the right choice. If you want to quickly generate content from a topic and have no time for manual editing, Smart Presentation is the right choice.

Project list — organization

At /tools/builder you see the list of your presentations. There are two view modes and optional folders:

Cards vs. list

The top-right corner has a cards / list toggle. "Cards" shows mini thumbnails, "list" is a compact row view. The choice is stored locally in the browser (persists across visits).

Folders

To keep things tidy you can create folders (e.g. "Clients", "2026 Q3", "Conferences"). The "+ New folder" button appears next to the view toggle — after you create your first folder, a sidebar shows up on the left with All · Unfiled · your folders.

Moving a project into a folder:

  • Drag & drop — grab a card/row and drop it onto a folder in the sidebar
  • 📁 button in the corner of a card (mobile + desktop) → "Move to…" menu

Folders are per-tool ("Clients" created in Builder won't appear in other tools) and per-user. Deleting a folder does not delete projects — they just move back to "Unfiled".

DEMO samples

If the system contains public DEMO presentations (typically tool showcases from PMG Club), they appear at the top in a fuchsia "Samples · DEMO" section. Clicking a DEMO creates your own copy in your workspace — the original stays untouched, and you can edit your copy without affecting anyone else.

Sharing with your team

Builder supports group sharing (since 2026-06-04). The owner can share a project with a user group as view or edit. Edit access uses a single-editor lock with a heartbeat — one member edits, the others see a banner "Jana is editing — last active 12 s ago" + a Take over editing button.

Groups are always managed by an administrator — users must ask the admin to be added. See Group content sharing.
