For hosts

Everything you need as a Q-Live event organizer.

Event list — organization

At /tools/qlive you see your events. By default they show as a row list, but the top-right corner has a cards / list toggle (choice stored locally). Cards show 2 columns, the row view is more compact for larger event counts.

To keep things tidy, you can create folders (e.g. "2026 conferences", "Client events"). The "+ New folder" button appears next to the view toggle — after the first one, a sidebar appears on the left with All · Unfiled · your folders. Move your own events into folders via drag & drop or the 📁 button in a row/card. Shared events (from other hosts) don't appear in folders — folders organize only your own events.

Creating an event

Open Tools → Q-Live and click New event.
Fill in:
- Name — visible to participants.
- Description (optional).
- Valid until — date and time when voting will be locked. We recommend the event day plus a few hours of buffer.
After creation you'll get a 6-character code (e.g. ABC-123) and QR. Participants join through them.

Event lifecycle

An event goes through 4 states:

State	Meaning
draft	You're preparing questions, participants can't vote yet.
live	Event is running, participants are voting.
archived	Active voting closed, but participants still see results and Q&A.
ended	Permanently closed.

The expiration time (expires_at) is a hard limit — once it passes, voting is blocked regardless of state. A 14-day grace period follows: the code stays reserved, then is released for new events.

Sharing the code

You can share the code 3 ways:

QR code — scanning opens /q/{code}.
Short URL — pmgclub.com/q/{code} (e.g. pmgclub.com/q/ABC-123).
Custom short link — Premium+ users can create pmgclub.com/feedx/{custom-slug}.

The code can also be changed (e.g. to CONF26) — useful for a branded code.

Branding

The host can customize the event look for participants and present mode:

Logo — upload an image (R2 storage), shown on the participant page and in present mode.
Primary color — color of buttons, accents, progress bars.
Background color — background of the participant page.
Welcome text — short greeting (shown in present mode when no question is active).
Sponsor logo — small logo in the bottom-right of present mode.

Team and roles

You can invite other users to the event in one of these roles:

Role	What they can do
Host (owner)	Everything.
Co-host	Manage questions, moderate Q&A, edit the event.
Moderator	Only approve / reject questions in Q&A.
Analyst	Only view analytics, no changes.

Running the event

In the main panel:

Left — list of questions (polls). Click a question to activate it for participants.
Middle — active question with live results.
Right — Q&A panel (audience questions, upvotes).
Top — buttons Present (projector), Share, Analytics.

After the event

Voting locks automatically at expires_at, or you end it manually (state ended).
Analytics stays available forever.
You can export the event to Smart Presentation (a static snapshot of results as a presentation).
If you want to keep collecting ratings after the event, choose state archived — participants can still vote until expires_at.

Restart and code recycling

Restart event — returns the event to draft and wipes responses (warning: irreversible).
Code release — 14 days after expires_at the code is released and can be reused by anyone.
