Present mode

Present mode is a fullscreen view meant for projection or a second screen. It hides navigation, shows large type and a gradient background.

Launching

  1. In the event panel click Present in the top right.
  2. A new page opens covering the whole screen.
  3. Recommended: open it in a separate window and move it to a secondary screen / projector. You keep working in the original window (main panel).

What Present mode shows

  • Header: event name, logo, code, QR for joining.
  • Main content changes by state:
    • No active question → large QR + code + welcome text + top Q&A questions.
    • Active question → question + live results (bar charts, word cloud, etc.).
    • Highlighted Q&A → question across the screen (or in the side panel).
  • Side panel (optional, right side) — live Q&A.
  • Leaderboard (after a quiz) — top 10 participants.
  • Sponsor logo (optional, bottom-right).

Q&A in Present mode

In event detail there's a toggle Q&A in Present mode:

  • Side panel — Q&A on the right, polls in the middle (speaker sees both at once).
  • Fullscreen takeover — when you highlight a question, it covers the screen.

Branding

Everything you set in Branding shows up in Present mode:

  • Logo at the top.
  • Primary color — accents, bar charts, code.
  • Background — gradient from this color.
  • Welcome text — when no question is active.
  • Sponsor logo — bottom-right.

Quiz countdown

For quizzes with a time limit, a countdown bar appears above the question (blue → yellow → red).

Tips

  • Test before the event — fire up Present mode, the projector and check legibility and colors. A dark background in a dim room usually has better contrast than a light one.
  • Second screen — use extended display, not mirrored. Keep working on the main panel yourself.
  • Disable screensaver — turn off screen saver and sleep mode during the event.
  • Q&A side panel works best on a widescreen projector. On 4:3 switch to fullscreen takeover.
