Q&A — audience questions

Q&A is a separate module alongside polls. Participants submit questions for the speaker, others upvote interesting ones, you moderate.

Enabling Q&A

In event detail enable Q&A. A Q&A tab will appear on the participant page.

Question states

Each question moves through several states:

Moderation

In the Q&A panel you see:

• New (pending) — approve, reject or highlight.
• Approved — sorted by upvotes.
• Answered — archive of resolved questions.

Tip: If you want to collect questions freely without moderation, you can turn approval off in settings (each new question goes straight to approved).

Upvotes

Participants tap an up arrow to vote for questions they're interested in. One participant = one vote per question.

You sort questions by upvotes in the panel and process them from top down.

Highlighting

Click 🔴 Highlight to mark a question as "currently being answered".

• In present mode it shows large across the screen (or in the side panel, depending on settings).
• Only one question can be highlighted — a new highlight clears the previous one.

Use case: The speaker is about to answer an audience question — you highlight it and the audience sees what's being answered.

Text answer

For each question you can add a written answer (e.g. when you don't get to it verbally). It's shown to participants and in the event archive.

Tip: Useful for post-event follow-up — answer remaining questions, archive the event, participants get them.

Present mode + Q&A

The host can choose in present mode:

• Fullscreen takeover — highlighted question across the whole screen (for the speaker).
• Side panel — questions appear on the right next to the active poll (speaker sees both).
