What is the Presentation Translator

The Presentation Translator translates any presentation to another language using AI (OpenAI GPT-4o-mini). It preserves layout, fonts, images, animations — it only translates the text. Find it at /tools/translator.

Three translation paths

The tool has three tabs, based on where the presentation comes from:

📄 PPTX file (external)

For PPTX from a client, colleague, or conference — you don't own it, you don't use the PMG Club editor.

• Upload .pptx file
• Pick source and target language
• After translation, download a new PPTX with the same structure
• Nothing is stored in PMG Club — file exists only during translation

Use when you want to quickly translate a deck and return it as PowerPoint.

🎨 From Presentation Builder (PB)

For projects you've created in PMG Club's PB library — canvas editor with animations, voice, video.

• Pick a project from the dropdown
• Target language
• After translation, a new copy is created in your PB library with prefix [EN] (or other language code)
• Original stays untouched
• In the PB gallery, the translated version gets a badge "🌐 CS → EN · date"

Use when you want to create a language variant of your PB project without losing the original.

📚 From Smart Presentations

For projects from the simpler Smart Presentations tool (individual slides with titles, bullets, stats).

• Analogous to PB — pick → target language → new copy is created
• In the Smart Presentations gallery, a badge is added

What gets translated

What does NOT get translated

• Images, audio, video (stay in original language — if you need translation there too, edit manually after translation)
• Music, fonts, animations, layout (preserved as-is)
• Links (URLs) — clickable URLs stay identical
• Existing narration audio — audio was recorded in the original language; after translating the text, you can record new audio via ElevenLabs in the Builder

Supported languages

12 main languages: Czech, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Slovak, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Ukrainian.

If you need another language, contact support — GPT-4o-mini handles many other languages, we just don't have them in the UI dropdown today.

Engine: OpenAI GPT-4o-mini

• Contextual translation — AI sees the whole phrase, not word-by-word (Google translate pattern → layout breaks)
• Terminology + idioms + tone of voice — short sentences stay short, formal tone stays formal
• Deduplication — repeating text in the presentation is counted only once
• Batches of 40 texts — efficient API call usage + context preservation

When to use

• Client abroad asks for the deck in their language
• International pitch, M&A teaser for investors
• Educational materials for branches in different countries
• Sales playbook for a new region
• Conference presentation for multilingual audience

When NOT to use

• Marketing copy where poetics matter — AI translation is good, but poetry needs a human ear. Use it as initial draft and polish manually.
• Legal documents — terminology precision requires a professional translator
• Texts with non-standard structure — if you have UI mocks or charts, AI may not recognize the structure
