E-shop on PMG Club — setup
Your showroom can work as a full e-shop: the customer adds products to a cart, goes through checkout, receives a pro forma invoice by email, and after payment all tax documents are issued automatically. You only confirm the payment arrived — everything else runs itself.
Everything is configured in Showroom → Settings.
✅ What you must fill in before selling
Without complete billing details, the checkout will not let customers through:
- Company name / your name (billing identity)
- Company ID or VAT ID (at least one)
- Registered address
- IBAN — customers send payments here (it appears on the pro forma and in the email)
- Contact email (reply-to) — order notifications and customer replies arrive here. It must be a working mailbox, otherwise notifications bounce.
🎯 Who you sell to (B2C / B2B / Mix)
This setting controls the default choice at checkout — the customer can always switch:
- B2C — checkout preselects "Private person"
- B2B — preselects "Company / sole trader" (company ID fields visible right away)
- Mix — based on the customer's history
The "Who is buying?" question is always shown, because VAT calculation depends on it (see Orders and documents).
💱 Currencies — CZK and EUR
- Primary currency — your product prices and accounting (typically CZK).
- Second currency (optional) — enable "Activate second currency for non-CZ buyers". Customers outside the Czech Republic then see prices in EUR.
- The exchange rate is entered naturally as 1 EUR = X CZK (e.g. 24.85). It is fixed — no automatic fetching from the central bank; update it yourself as needed.
Accounting stays in the primary currency; the second currency is only for the customer's display and payment. The rate used is stored with every order (audit trail).
🧾 VAT — payer status, regime and the €10,000 threshold
- Not a VAT payer → documents without VAT with a "Not VAT registered" note.
- VAT payer, Standard regime → Czech VAT for domestic and EU consumers. Note: this is only valid while your cross-border B2C sales into the EU stay under €10,000 for the current + previous year (all countries combined).
- VAT payer, OSS regime → EU consumers get VAT at their country's rate. Requires OSS registration with the tax authority. The final price for the customer stays the same — the rate is calculated "from within".
Watch the threshold yourself — the system does not track it yet.
EU companies with a VIES-verified VAT ID automatically get reverse charge, and exports outside the EU are VAT-free — in both cases the customer pays the price excluding VAT (reduced). This happens automatically, nothing to configure.
📦 Stock — what the customer sees
You track the internal quantity (stock_quantity) on products — it never blocks a purchase, it is your record only. What the customer sees is controlled in settings:
- Hide — no information (services, B2B consulting)
- Text only — your own availability text ("In stock", "Made to order in 5 days"…)
- Exact count — "5 in stock"
🔢 Document numbering
Custom prefixes for each document type (orders, PRO/INV/DDPP/credit-note invoices) are set in the numbering section. Numbers run per year and type — changing a prefix only affects new documents.
🌐 Shop language
The storefront, checkout and emails work in Czech and English. Customers get the language of their browser and can switch (CS | EN in the header). Documents for EUR buyers outside CZ are issued in English automatically. Your own texts (product names, descriptions, availability text) are not translated — write them in your customers' language.
