How to create a banner

After clicking + New banner the form opens with a live preview on the right.

Required fields

Title

A short, punchy headline. Recommendations:

  • 2–5 words
  • Strong wording, distinct branding
  • Avoid generic phrases ("Click here")

Examples:

  • PMG Capital
  • Free consultation
  • New payments API

Link URL

Where the banner takes the visitor after a click. Start with either https:// (external site) or / (relative path on miroslavpekarek.com).

Examples:

  • https://my-company.com
  • https://example.com/product
  • /services/consulting (only if the target exists on the portal)

Optional fields

Description

Supporting text below the headline. Max ~80 characters (longer text is clipped in the preview).

Position

  • Right (default) — seen just as often, slightly more visible
  • Left — the counterpart, often less distracting
  • Both — banner shows on both positions simultaneously. Counts as 1 banner.

Background and text color

Use either:

  • Color picker (click the colored square on the right)
  • Hex input (#0f172a)

Tips:

  • High contrast between background and text — the banner has to be readable from the corner of your eye
  • Dark background + light text = a professional look
  • Avoid neon — feels spammy

Time window (Show from / Show to)

  • From — banner activates after this date
  • To — banner auto-deactivates after this date

Leave both empty and the banner runs from creation until you turn it off manually.

Use cases:

  • Limited-time promos (Black Friday: 25 Nov – 30 Nov)
  • Scheduled launches (from next Monday)
  • Seasonal ads (Christmas, spring)

Preview

On the right you see a live banner preview with the current colors and texts. It shows exactly what visitors will see on the portal.

Note: the preview uses the real dimensions — if your text doesn't fit, shorten it.

Saving

Click Save in the bottom right corner of the form.

  • For a new banner credits are deducted per current price
  • For an existing banner changes are saved without charging again
  • If you don't have enough credits, creation fails with an error
  • After saving you return to the banner list

Editing an existing banner

In the list, click the pencil icon next to the banner. The form opens with current values and you edit exactly the same way.

Editing doesn't cost credits — change text/colors/link freely without any charge.
